German Vice Chancellor Gabriel visits the CLAAS production plant in Krasnodar

The German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel paid a visit to the expanded CLAAS factory in Krasnodar, Southern Russia. He followed the explanations given by General Director Dr Ralf Bendisch during the approx. one-hour guided tour with great interest and took in all the facts about the modern production methods in detail.

Gabriel was particularly impressed by the high levels of training: 'This is a Russian factory. Although it has a German owner, it is a Russian factory. The qualification standard of the employees is excellent and absolutely comparable with that of the German level.'

The second expansion stage of the factory was officially handed over in October 2015. The production of 'Made in Krasnodar' combine harvesters has already increased significantly since then. As a result, over 450 staff members are now employed in the entire complex. It is the largest investment by CLAAS to date outside of Germany with a total expenditure of around 150 million euros.
